Mas playa

Hemos estado disfrutando de las playas estos días en familia. Por suerte tuvimos varios días lindos intercalados con algunos de lluvia que nos han dado un poco de descanso de las horas que hemos pasado nadando y disfrutando de la variada vida marina que encontramos a nuestra puerta. We have been enjoying the beach with the family over the last two weeks or so. We have had fairly good weather despite being in the middle of the rainy season. The rainy days have given us a break from the hours we have spent swimming and looking at the marine life at our doorstep.

Por supuesto que nos tenemos que alimentar así que ha habido algún asadito en la playa del cual hemos disfrutado muchísimo, pero se extraña la carne Argentina!
We have also had to feed ourselves so had a few barbecues on the beach, but we miss the Argentinean meat!

Estos días tuvimos la oportunidad de ver varios peces escorpión que nos han tomados un poco por sorpresa. Estos peces son venenosos pudiendo producir la muerte de la persona, pero más comúnmente las picaduras producen muchísimo dolor, nauseas y vómitos y pérdida de conocimiento durante varios días. A la tardecita se los ve bastante sobre los arrecifes cazando a otros peces. El otro día vimos un montón de peces escorpión de todos los tamaños y variaciones de colores (azules, rojos y negros) Aquí hay algunas fotos. Por supuesto también encontramos “nemos” (peces payasos) a granel.
We have seen a lot of lion fish lately. It has been surprising since we did not expect to see them so often. My Dad almost stepped on one when he stood on the coral reef. The fish are poisonous and although their sting is usually not fatal for adults it causes a lot of pain and certainly spoil your holidays. The other fish we see a lot are of course the little clown fish which are great for taking pictures because they are always hanging around their coral home.
