Lik-lik

This is Lik-lik, our new dog. Probably one of the ugliest dogs to have walked on the face of earth, Lik-lik came into our lives about 10 days ago. Gisela almost runned over her with the car as she stumbled and walked across the road. Gisela stopped the car and looked for him in a pile of rubbish, picked him up and took him home. Poor Lik-lik was covered in fleas, half his hair was missing, had yaws all over and was a bag of skin and bones. I was not sure if he was going to make it and that is why I have now only introduced her into our blog. The dog had been severely mistreated and cringed at anything that moved close to her. The days following her arrival were filled with antiseptic baths, hours of petting and soft talks to get her out from under the car and litres of milk and food. Today, about 10 days later she is a new dog, the hair is growing back, no more fleas and she has became a lively puppy, very protective of the house and loves the guards to pieces.
