Sunday afternoon

Sunday turned out to be a blazing furnace of a day, with clear skies and blinding sun. After the market stunt in the morning; lunch and a nap we headed down the road to the beach. The drive from the house to the beach (2 kilometres) is quite nice. It’s also the road I take everyday to work, the only road to the main avenue in town. The first picture is a photo of the view as you head down the hill.
We went to another little beach close to town. The wind picked up a little so the water was a bit choppy with great little waves, it was fun. The beach has a little river were the local kids enjoyed playing with their little canoe. We stayed at the beach until night fall and had the privilege of looking at a beautiful moon. Although two days shy from full it was really quite something, I guess the pictures don’t really do it enough justice, it's very small. El domingo fue un día muy caluroso. Después de la vuelta por el mercado, un almuerzo y siesta nos fuimos para la playa. La playa queda bajando la colina donde vivimos (2 km) es también el camino que hago para ir al trabajo todos los días (solo que el trabajo queda bastante mas lejos) Bajando la colina desde casa hay unas lindas vistas del mar, como ven en la primera foto. Fuimos a una playa que queda bien cerca y nos quedamos hasta la noche. El viento levanto a la tarde asi que estaba un poco mas picado, mas divertido para nadar. Hay un rio que desemboca cerquita y los chicos locales tambien disfrutaban con sus pequeñas canoas. Tuvimos el privilegio de ver la luna que aunque le faltan dos días para ser estaba muy linda, aunque en la foto sale tan chiquita!
