New Year

La noche del 31 la disfrutamos con otra comilona parecida a la de navidad, solo agregamos empanadas al menú y pollo relleno deshuesado, una especialidad de mi Mama. Pasamos tranquilos y a medianoche celebramos la llegada del año nuevo mirando las imágenes de los fuegos artificiales de Sídney en directo ya que tenemos la misma hora. Honiara no se quedo atrás y hubo algunas bengalas que se tiraron al aire en la bahía y gente gritando afuera a falta de fuegos artificiales…
We had another dinner feast the night of the 31st. We added the typical Argentinean empanadas to the Christmas menu and also a stuffed boneless chicken, my Mom’s specialty. At midnight we watched the Sydney fireworks which were amazing and started the year celebrations. Honiara also had a little action with a few fireworks over the bay and to make up for the lack of fireworks a lot of shouting…

El sábado almorzamos en casa y de postre nos clavamos una pastafrola espectacular con dulce de membrillos importando de Argentina! Los chicos recibieron su pastafrola individual y el Mathy como ven no le hizo asco.
Durante la tarde, después de una buena siesta fuimos hasta el monumento Estado-Unidense a los caídos en la segunda guerra mundial que tiene una linda vista de la bahía y aprovechamos a sacar unas fotos.
During the afternoon, after a good siesta, we drove up to the American War memorial which has a great view of the bay. We took the opportunity to take a few pictures and enjoy the scenery.
