On sabbath we had a special Christmas program in church. Our kids dressed up like little angels, and actually looked quite angelic (if only people knew!!!) The children sang Silent Night and peace on earth.

On the 24th during the evening we got together with family to celebrate Christmas. The evening cleared after a day of intense rain and that gave us an interesting sunset. In Argentina it is the usual practice for children to open their presents on Christmas eve after 12 (we are night people after all) They were all excited between the little fire works and the presents they received. So we enjoyed great food (my mother cooked all the food you can see in the pictures), company and had a great time.

Federacion
Pasamos la semana en Federación, Entre Ríos. Es una ciudad que esta a orillas del rio Uruguay y además de un lago tiene un resort de piletas termales. We spent a week in Federacion, a town in the border with Uruguay. Besides a great lake formed by a dam built containing the Uruguay river it also has great pools with thermal waters. 
Aunque es pleno verano nos tocaron días relativamente frescos y la pasamos muy lindo. Paramos en un lindo departamento con todas las comodidades. Los chicos disfrutaron del agua cálida, los abuelos de los nietos y nosotros de tiempo “libre”. La Emily aprendió a nadar sola, el Mathy disfruto de “cazar” sapos en el jardín de las termas y todos disfrutamos de las ricas comidas. Despite being in the middle of summer we had relative cool days which helped a lot. We stayed at some nice apartments very close to the pools. The kids enjoyed the pools, the grandparents enjoyed their grandchildren and we enjoyed some “free” time. Emily is swimming by herself, Mathias enjoyed “hunting” frogs in the gardens around the pool and we all enjoyed eating the superb Argentinean beef.
